Soda Can Cozy

Skill Level: Easy
Materials:
  • 4 ply cotton yarn
  • Size "H" crochet hook
  • 1 button, not too big. I didn't get to measure mine, sorry
  • 1 sewing needle and thread
Abbreviations:
  • SC - single crochet
  • CH - chain
  • SL ST - slip stitch
Pattern Notes:
  • Chain one does not count as a stitch unless said
  • Join with a slip stitch unless said
Chain 2,
  • Round 1: 6 SC in second chain from hook. Join.
  • Round 2: 2 SC in each SC around. Join.
  • Round 3: *1 SC in next stitch, 2 SC in next stitch* around. Join.
  • Round 4: *1 SC in next two stitches, 2 SC in next* around. Join.
  • Round 5: *1 SC in next three stitches, 2 SC in next* around. Join.
  • Round 6: *1 SC in next four stitches, 2 SC in next* around. Join in back loops.
  • Round 7: Working in back loops, 1 SC in each SC around. Join.
  • Round 8-18: 1 SC in each SC around. Join.
  • NOTE: THE REST OF THE SODA CAN COZY IS WORKED IN ROWS.
  • Row 1: 1 SC in next 28 SC. CH 1, turn.
  • Row 2-6: 1 SC in each SC around. CH 1.
  • Row 7: Turn sideways, like below. 1 SC in each SC for a total of six SC. CH 1, turn. 
  • Row 8-15: 1 SC in each SC. CH 1, turn.
  • Row 16: 1 SC in next stitch, CH 4, skip next four SC, SC in last stitch. CH 1, turn.
  • Row 17: 1 SC in next stitch, 4 SC in CH 4 space, 1 SC in last stitch. Fasten off and weave in all ends.
